For this assignment, I was supposed to find a news headline and demonstrate the connotations that it was carrying strictly by use of typeface, color, orientation, size, etc. I spent some time searching the news headlines and decided that this was probably the best one I was going to find. As far as fonts used: 'President' was chosen for its old-time, formal appeal; 'Obama' for its non-standard yet reserved style, and modest, non-bold fill; 'Kanye West' because it reminds me of some font I've seen that's carried his name, and also because of its got flashy electronica-feeling fill; 'is a' because it's not as important; and 'Jackass' for transparent reasons. Overall, it's really just about the stability and conformity of the 'President Obama' side versus the initially stable via honest portrayal of Kanye West's eccentric appeal, and then a boldly induced reduction of Kanye's character. Sorry Kanye.
